Huadu District CPPCC Proposal Committee Organized Research Trip to Dongguan and Shenzhen to Investigate Development of AI industry, Helping Transformation and Upgrading of Traditional Industry
Recently, Huadu District CPPCC Proposal Committee organized the members of its economic group to go to Dongguan and Shenzhen to carry out research and investigation trip to relevant enterprises and parks in Dongguan and Shenzhen. In light of the No. 1037 proposal of 2025 “Suggestions on the Use of Artificial Intelligence to Help the Transformation and Upgrading of the Traditional Industry”, with focus on the AI enterprises, the trip actively explored new ways for Huadu District to utilize artificial intelligence to assist the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries and boost the high-quality development of Huadu economy.
The first leg of the trip of the District CPPCC research group was Huawei Songshan Lake Base and Huawei Sanyapo Employee Training Center in Dongguan. Huawei Songshan Lake Base is not only the location of the new headquarters of Huawei Device Co., Ltd., but also a core area of Huawei's technological innovation and product R&D, therefore it is an important pivot point for Huawei's global business development. The Base is a large-scale comprehensive base integrating R&D, sales and value-added services, with a total investment of about RMB 10 billion. The Base brings together Huawei's latest technological achievements in the fields of cloud computing, big data, and artificial intelligence, making it a model for the digital transformation of enterprises. The research group visited Huawei's intelligent production line and learned about its full-process digital production and management model. The research group also visited Huawei's Sanyapo Employee Training Center, which is a collection of classic architecture from France, Sweden and Russia, and listened to the introduction of Huawei's AI talent training.
At Shenzhen iSoftStone Technology Co., Ltd., the research group carefully learned about the company's use of big data, cloud computing, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies in offering integrated design, construction, and operational services for urban digitization and smartization. Founded in May 2017, iSoftStone Tech has become a leading smart city operation service provider in China in only 8 years. It is now a leading provider of comprehensive solution in the smart city industry, and has won a number of honorary titles, including Leading Smart City Company of China, Leading Smart City Solution Provider of China, Top 50 Big Data Companies of China, and Industry-University-Research Cooperation and Innovation Demonstration Enterprise of China. The research group also learned about industrial ecological construction in detail, and concluded that the company's advanced technology platform, application platform and city platform might shed light on building an urban innovation ecosystem and on enhancing the core competitiveness and sustainable development of cities.
The research group's next stop was Shenzhen Baolong Specialized, Refined, Differentiated, and Innovative Park. During this field trip, the research group listened carefully to the introduction of the lecturer, and praised the park for having built a model cluster of emerging industries that integrating talents of emerging industries, production and R&D, information exchanges, management services, and business and leisure.
In addition, the research group also visited Shenzhen Bay Science and Technology Eco Park; there they learned that the company has built a new mode of park operation with industrial innovation ecosystem at the core, and established a park ecological service system consisting of “industrial service subsystem, professional service subsystem, government service subsystem, business service subsystem” around the key industrial subsystems, forming a "Shenzhen Standard" and “Shenzhen Model” of science and technology park operation. The company has built artificial intelligence and robotics industry highland, promoting the clustering and taking off of the development of artificial intelligence and robotics industry.
District CPPCC members participating in the research group unanimously observed that the impression of AI was only skin deep in the past, but this systematic field research gave them a new comprehensive understanding of AI's power in data analysis, design optimization, production process re-engineering, intelligent decision-making and automation control, and that they hoped that with the help of artificial intelligence, Huadu District might achieve a qualitative leap in the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries..
